international workshop on social interaction and mundane technologies (simtech)

1½ day event in Melbourne (Australia), November 26-27th

Venue

This workshop will be held in the Department of Information Systems, in the ICT Building at 111 Barry Street, Carlton. A PDF map of the University is available from:

Cost

The cost of attending this workshop will be GBP(£)90 (full fee) and GBP(£)50 (student/unemployed). This will include a subsidised dinner and lunch and refreshments (e.g. coffee) over the day and a half. The cost for the first or second day will be GBP(£)45 with a dinner or lunch subsidy. This single day fee will include refreshments on that day.

The dinner and the lunch will cost AUS$20 each. Most of the cost of these will be subsidised. Dinner on the first day will be held at a Melbourne institution, Abla's Lebanese Restaurant, 109 Elgin Street, Carlton. The lunch on the second day will be held at the University House at the University of Melbourne

All workshop fees should be paid for at registration (on the first day if possible). Please:

  1. Print out and complete the registration form.
  2. Pay by credit card or banker's draft (in GBP only).
  3. Bring the printed out, completed form to registration (and banker's draft if applicable).

We will have some copies of the form at registration but, to save time, please follow the above instructions. Please note that you should:

  1. Make out a banker's draft to Lancaster University.
  2. Have access to the appropriate signatory for your credit card.

Please also pay the fee for the lunch and dinner (AUS$20 each) in cash at registration.

Accommodation

Ormond College

There is 'student style' accommodation (single only) with shared bathrooms and wardrobe space available at Ormond College from AUD$64 per night. This rate includes breakfast, full linen, access to college facilities (e.g. guest lounge room) and is GST inclusive.
